My theory of composing starts off like this asking myself of the different genres that I have learned about, while I consider what possible genres I could use for my work. Genre is the beginning and within genre there are various little components such as context, material, and purpose. The context is important because it is the set-up, the framework of what the genre is and how it will work. The material is the components used to compose these components are not only physical things used but also things that have been retained through learning, knowledge and experiences. Also how things will be said and translate through the text have to do with the genre. Audience is the next step because here are many considerations that must take place when composing a specific genre, factors such as age, gender, lifestyle, and culture must be taken into account. Aside from these factor there are subtopics to each previously stated factor that have to do with the moral upbringing, and what holds higher importance to who. Some questions must be asked and brought into the thought process such as who the audience is and why they are being presented with this composition as well as what aspects may you have to look at in order to capture their attention; brainstorming the usage of language, materials, affordances, technology. All of these components are also related back to genre that is why you will see why and how it is an ongoing process that comes back to where you started; reevaluation. Rhetorical situation is the last step, it is the combination and transferring of all other factor and components and composing them into one solid. It is acknowledging what will and will not be used, understanding what is acceptable and applicable to thee composition, while also revising, analyzing the structure and format, and accrediting the knowledge and transferring that interfered in the process; how it came to be. Composing is acknowledging the steps and guiding yourself off them but also realizing that not every situation will bring you around to that one way of composing like anything it is a format for help and should be utilize when need but it is also like a thought process, due to all the popping ideas and go into composition. These are all thing one must understand and answer while composing.
